Start looking for another job if you haven't already—layoffs are on the horizon. Nike hasn’t improved, and it lacks the capacity to overcome the crises.

100% correct. More specifically, GenZ white males who have been lectured their whole lives about how awful they are.
Anyone who can learn to flourish in that environment will dominate everything. And they will have been taking meticulous notes and remembering names all along the way
@bc+1jqyppc7w 'corporate America' will be fine.
The key difference is they will be run by the folks running DOGE and SpaceX.
Overwhelmingly white males (or Yamnaya genetic progeny), these apex performers operating at 10/10 capacity will devour companies staffed by the 7/10 and 8/10 folks that you describe here.
NYSE: NKE falls into the latter category and is further encumbered by low-IQ DEI and #MeToo hires who are worse than dead weight. Everything that Woke touches turns to shyte.
In other words, sh!thole's gonna sh!thole. And M@GA is deporting it.
Not all of us are caught with our pants down. I saw this coming before DJT was elected and had several conversations with C-level freeloaders (most of them) and created some creative contingencies.
Believe it or both there were several scenario planning work streams on this.
No I no longer work at Nike. I am not going to go into details since several of them stalk here consistently for gossip. I also know some of those senior leaders leverage this platform for their turf wars.
Let me summarize:
Corporate America is FU---D.
Most of the business culture in US and the western world developed in the golden age of capitalism. Founder of McKinsey took the idea from the army and created a clever way to service the market with strategists. This works for stable periods where you can forecast the next 10 years.
The world order was relatively stable.
CSR is essentially a mid-range plan based on a 10 year plan. It is a nice way to anchor.
The challenge is the world is in upheavel and and as demonstrated by JD these “grand strategists” who are used to plan for stability are not suited for a volatile world.
Leaders in corporate america also focus on 2 year personal plans for the very same reason, licking the right boots to get their next promotion takes precedence over delivering actual value.
That is why US is not going to survive this storm. US no longer have the brains to build those factories or creating new agile value chains designed for a volatile world.
How is it that our supply chain was caught completely off guard? Other companies have been planning for this for months. What were our supply chain and DSM VPs doing? busy crafting flashy CSR decks and rehearsing their speeches? Mo--ns and clowns. This level of negligence is embarrassing
Pretty sure we actually need to hire a ton of people on H1B from China and Vietnam to teach us how to make shoes locally
More jobs for mericans!!! Jk.
@ak
I know you’re being facetious, but alongside USDA funding cuts, these tariffs are going to further hurt farmers and the agriculture sector.
Gonna quit and become a farmer
@a8
