Layoffs?

Does anyone know when the layoffs are actually going to happen?

@je Gibberish. There are no patterns and or any logic to any of this. Quit wasting your time trying to analyze our STL non actions and find a job.

There is a high chance of layoffs because of the Lex purchase since there are staff doing jobs which would be seen as duplications and so opportunities to merge/refine and reduce cost. So question isn't if, it's when, and how many. 20% seems likely as a minimum to me but I could see it as high as 40% with layoffs coming from both the X and Lex sides.

Xerox has been doing layoffs every year for over 20 years. Typical layoff dates are mid month or end of month. Usually Tuesday through Thursday as they prefer to avoid Monday or Friday.

Given they will likely need time to figure out who, but also that they will be in a rush to do this to save money earlier than later, I could see it being Jan 29 or Feb 12. Maybe even Jan 15 in a pinch. And likely more rounds later in the year as the cards fall.

It's not happening on the 15th, it's happening on February 30th.

The 15th is wrong, the layoffs will be on February 30th.

It is obvious that no one with any inside knowledge is posting on this site. Feb. 15th is a Sunday; absolutely 0 chance of layoff on February 15th.

@g5 Wishful thinking. I believe there will be four rounds of lay offs in 2026 Feb 15 the first and maybe Apr/May, Aug/Sep and then Oct/Nov. I suspect the paperwork and everything else to enter Chapter 11 will occur 4Q or 1H 2027 at the latest. The company will be forced into Chapter 11 after failing to pay some large supplier for chemicals required to make toner or some other similar event.

Crazy but there will be a point in time where it will be too late. So maybe there will be none until insolvency.

I would expect nothing significant until near the end of Q1 at the earliest.

@bh I can't wait for the press release on the layoffs that says "Xerox has done a restructuring of jobs to ensure that we are paying the proper amount for staff in the proper regions of the world. Xerox has transitioned x# of positions in IT, Inside Sales, Finance and etc."

@OP if it is less than 10K people in the layoff the stock is going to go under 2 I think. Numbers just don't add up otherwise.

@aj How dare there be kids of managers.. the managers should be too focused on Xerox to be reproducing.

@OP Soon it will be just the managers and their kids working there, then CH 11.

It’s probably brewing at this stage. At some point I’m sure there will be an email on cuts. 300mill company with 27k is simply not sustainable. Can feel the tension it seems.
