I made a shirt that says “Target Laid My Husband Off” and a bandanna that says “Target Laid My Dad Off” for my dog (we don’t have kids).
Maybe you could do the same? It’s despicable that so many people are facing hardship as a result of poor leadership and greed. Take care of yourself and know it’s not you, it’s Target.

Fun Fact- we never had an instance where we told (a lie) that the employee is getting a 20k bump in salary that did not cause people to squeal. Ex coworkers can be an envious bunch. Talking from experience.
@ae Lol, okay, buddy. It sounds like you're into some real secret squirrel stuff. That level of snooping costs more than $550. Unofficially, people may reach out to others in their network. You're not going to get much information on entry-level to mid-level managers unless they lied on their resume or have a criminal record.

No one gets hired in my group without us checking every place they work. Unless you are a few people company, we will find others who worked there and insider’s would give us the lowdown.
HR confirms the date but my background check company gets paid $550 per check and if they don’t come back with stuff, they won’t get the next job.
Sure the game is rigged but I am management for a reason.
