Do they really only side with management? I feel like it’s become a hostile work environment because of my immediate manager and I’d like to know if anything would actually be done by doing a formal complaint.

CERT is bunch of id--ts. You know those people who studied sociology or psychology needed a job after wasting 6 years (they partied too much to do it in 4), so they end up in Human Resources. CERT is some woke cr@p and I had coworker harassed because they dared speak truff in an email to coworkers. Dat does not fly at the new woke 'State we love everyone!
CERT does nothing for you. Don’t waste your time
CERT is not your friend. They will not help.
We’re all overworked since March 2020. Get out if you can to save your sanity. Allstate is trying to hire back the staffing numbers they laid off last year for cheaper wages and finding out nobody wants to come back.
@ahx+1cpLchlX I’m sure there are sone disgruntled employees filing erroneous CERT claims but there are ALSO valid well documented claims that CERT 9.5 times out of 10 doesn’t do a damn thing. The lack of consequences empower sc-m managers and bloated higher ups. I hope karma is served to each of you for selling your soul for a paycheck.
CERT will NEVER admit wrong doing, etc. by a manager BUT if you want to play the long game file a CERT complaint, provide lots of documentation and witnesses and when they come back and do nothing file an EEOC charge and/or Human Rights violation. CERT is a joke!
HR and CERT are not an employee's friend. Their role is to protect the Company--not you.
Unless it is se-ual harassment CERT won't do anything, and to the person who talked about video or recorded evidence, if you are going to record someone make sure you are not in a 2 party state, otherwise you will find yourself being fired or sued by the person you recorded.
I can say from experience that the vast majority of CERT cases are merely employees complaining that they are simply being held accountable for the work the company is paying them to do. Self important and entitled people that think they should be able to do as they please and make complaints when they are justly managed. Most employee CERT concerns are never perused because they are baseless and make for entertaining water cooler talk and some even becoming running memes and even sometimes tales of lore.
Define your hostile work environment more. If it's because they curse you out and send you nu-e photos than yes. If it's because they manage you and you don't like it, especially if you aren't performing, than no.
People use CERT as a scapegoat for their own problems sometimes and that will make them get rid of you faster
Get some real help. Allstate won’t do anything. CERT and HR are there to protect the company and they will do whatever that takes. They are ruthless and don’t care about you. They play the game very well. Don’t be fooled.
Unless you have clear video or recorded proof of harassment or wrongdoing it will become a "they said but they said" and CERT will almost always side with management. Plus if you submit a complaint with CERT and not successful you will end up possibly putting a target on your own back as a "troublemaker". I have seen it before. They frankly are not at all concerned with work environment and conditions. The nice thing about being home based aside from the 15 minute huddles a day you rarely have dealings with management and just smile and nod with coachings as they don't mean sh!t.
I would go straight to the EEOC. CERT is just the mouthpiece for whatever management wants.
