Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

You Asked, We Listened!

You asked, we listened! Our vteam family let us know they wanted to reduce vacation accrual max from 150% to 125%. This gives our superstars more time to set the foundation to play to win. It also helps reduce severance for future rifs which delights our shareholders. I am humbled, honored and energized for all we have accomplished as we continue to build the future at scale - together!

@ah Nicely done! The gaslighting the leaders do saying we will build together as they dismantle our best friends from work, overload those remaining and leaving them in continuous fear they are next is vile. I’ve never seen such disgusting behavior by so called leadership in my career. They disgrace themselves, this country and are some of the worst examples of humanity itself. Love where you work love what you do! - as they continuously reorganize and destroy any possibility of knowledge when everyone has been in their current role one year or less. Pathetic.

Company only wants to pay 125% of unused vacation. They know we are all keeping it at 150% so we can cash out, not if but when we’re RIF’d. Wouldn’t be surprised vacation days next move will be like PTO days, use it or lose it.

@OP let me rewrite this for everyone.

They asked, we listened!

Our shareholders let us know they wanted to reduce employee vacation accrual max from 150% to 125%. This gives our superstars more time to lose while they’re attempting to meet unrealistic expectations. BUT MAINLY, It also helps reduce severance for future rifs which delights the people we care about most, our shareholders. I am humbled, honored and energized for all we have accomplished to eliminate as we continue to do so at scale - without you!
