RTO just because I am forced to do so. Collaborate with no one - all my meetings are via Teams - Merit 1.5% and gas close to 4 bucks a gallon. Thanks Gail - your stupid policy is costing me money to work here.

They gave half of the Columbus Pulsepoint back to the lease owner to use for other businesses. There are only a couple teams in office every day. Most converted to virtual. Recent RIF’s have impacted a significant number of the people who would have used that location.
@1mn Mine too...if I'm at half a tank. Jacka$$
are you driving an army tank to work? My car still costs less than 30 dollars to fill.
@ey if they close your pulsepoint and there isn't another within 50 miles, you no longer have a path to change roles.
It has been obvious for several years. The Executives don't care about the employees that make this company run. They only care about what is going into their own pockets at whatever cost to anyone else including the members.
@ey thanks for your reply and that’s a true statement for a lot of our Pulse Points BUT … I’m in Atlanta so that PP isn’t closing any time soon lol
@e7 They have to justify the corporate real estate leases. They closed 5 PulsePoints at the end of last year - leased spaces - most assuredly because the leases were up. Some in states where it was the only PulsePoint. All of the Hybrid people assigned to those offices were permanently converted to Virtual. So keep your fingers crossed that the lease at your office ends soon.
@ah - you are my inspiration!!
@ay echoing the sentiments of others … I was full time WFH almost ten years prior to Covid and now I’m being forced into an office. It’s not Return to Office, it’s Forced to Office to Keep My Job .
And it’s inexplicable as to why.
@ay Well goodie gumdrops for you. Others were hired as remote so Elevance making those people come to an office after they were hired didn’t give them an opportunity to factor in those costs because st the time is wasn’t supposed to be a factor.
I’m east coast and work with a team on the west coast and they are starting to stress about the high gas prices in the Los Angeles area where their office is. Some have over an hour drive each way and were never in that particular pulse point before the whole RTO began. Most companies won’t adjust anything to gas prices since it might force people to quit.
@ay Good for you! Some of use were hired long before Covid as WFH. For a lot of us, this isn’t a RTO, it’s a breach of what we signed up for. Sniveling and griping allowed.
Covid is over. Many of us returned to the office soon after the all clear. When I accepted my role I factored in commuting and childcare. Fuel prices went up and down the past 8 years. WFH is the norm again. See you at the water cooler. No sniveling
Glad I'm not there anymore. I am full-time work from home in my new job. I'm writing this post in my PJ's as I work on a fun project
This joke of a company does not care about anyone!
My boss just takes it out on me with character attacks on annual reviews
All we can do is take it out of productivity, and try to find ways to waste company resources. It's not much, but it's honest work...
