Have you heard if ‘Focal’ is happening this year in the SM org?

what? they give raises and rsu here? I've worked here for 3 years and never heard of those.... but who cares when my onboard rsu worth hundreds of k per year. last vest date around this time next yr before I decamp. keeping my fingers crossed!

As someone here said, layoffs are coming. Meetings are delayed, nobody under SVP level knows anything about possible bonuses and some people are getting sudden meeting invites in their calendars. Brace yourself.
If you survive, you may get RSU but expect no actual money this year.
May be after the lay offs. Notice any big meetings being pushed back, rescheduled for a month later? It’s all there. Layoffs coming. Then some hand outs to the lucky ones and for the ones that stay may be you will get your September RSUs. For the others so long good bye. 2 weeks plus a week for each year.
What is Focal ?
I work in the SM org - my manager claims to have not heard anything still so I would say it's looking unlikely
The curious thing is that there doesn't appear to have been any "official" communications either way about a focal.
In 2023 it was clearly stated in June there was no focal. As for this year .... ???
@ah it’s misinformation in oracle mostly old horses still able to promote irrespective of org wide news on spend on AI hence no focal.

In the past if you were >100% of quota you were pretty much guaranteed a raise. Most people that surpassed quotas this year did not get any raises, all of that money was spent investing in AI infrastructure
Yes, no, maybe. Always org and team dependent. It’s ambiguous and non transparent intentionally.
Some groups were adamant all focal was cancelled company wide FY23, maybe their leadership said that, but we still saw promotions then so there’s lots of misinformation.
