Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Who’s next?

How long before Kyle announces his “retirement”? It’s a matter of time.

Yes, the BT negotiations are ongoing. They have been for more than a year.
I don't think it will actually happen (BT isn't that clueless), but as long as they are talking Kyle is save.
At this point they could do the whole "we give you the business plus a billion dollars to speed you along" and no one would take it...

@dk This deal was dead before it started. It’s not going to happen.

Just follow his stock sales. Once you see him cash in, the announcement will soon follow.

@dk are you saying that the BT VZ Intl deal is being still negotiated?

@dk should be his entire team, and the other GTS 'leaders'. The latter all came from GTS, good old boy network that have added no value that anyone can see.

We are all hoping it's Vivek. And half of this leadershit team...
Kyle won't get pushed out until the BT deal finally closes. We desperately want to get rid of VZ Connect and anything that could add noise to the BT talks has to be avoided at all cost. Even if it means Kyle stays on a little longer. But he'll be out the next day (if he doesn't get sold off as part of the deal - but I doubt BT is d-mb enough to take him)

Kyle has been a malady on Verizon. He presided over the network failure and pretended like everything was fine when the network was the laughing stock of social media

@a6 It's clearly apparent you have zero factual knowledge of Vz's acquisitions and when they occurred, and who really authored those failures.

As for Finance not seeing something... keep in mind that it's marketing that proposes these disastrous promotions and pricing, and Finance has to figure out how to pay for it based on the projections from Marketing.

Not to mention the hundreds of other functions they perform that no one knows about. So before you speak, know what it is you're talking about.

Betland CMO is a fail! When Hans called it Vz 2.0 it only proved how uniformed a European fired CEO was.
Berland was fired by Twitter and failing fast at Vz.

Why does Vz Board continue to hire fured CEO and CMOs?

Berland…she needs to go. All she did was change Verizon’s logo. Customers still associate Verizon by the red checkmark.

@ag that doesn’t change how bad the finance team is at Verizon.

agreed on Skiadas. gut his org. how is it that his teams could not have foreseen Verizon’s poor performance all these years. clowns as leaders. and the financial business cases for bad acquisition targets like Yahoo/AOL, BlueJeans, Tumblr, and more.
