Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Lawsuit against WF proceeding

Good read for those that feel like they have been retaliated against due to ADA and health issues.

So ultimately if this whole location strategy ends up being a huge mess regarding rights, ada or whatever..etc.

During discovery, what if somehow all long, it shouldn't have even been going on and was completely mishandled? Just took and ran with it?

Now I'm sure it was analyzed every way you can think of, but what if just one detail was missed? In theory and legalize, shouldn't that render the whole process null and void?

What would be the aftermath in a case like that, where so many people have been let go? I mean this has been like an ongoing process every two weeks since 2019.

To be honest though, I'm very surprised with the sheer volume of people affected and the unpending of lives that it hasn't made media more than it has.

Good! Sc--w WF's RTO strategy. I work from home and I'm consistently out performing my peers by over 50%. I get sc--wed over constantly by not receiving promotions. I hope this bank gets sued into oblivion.

@ah I didn't say she didn't have a case, professor. Filing a case and winning a case are two different things.

It’s not a class action lawsuit. Read the article.

class actions are garbage as a previous poster stated, except for the fact they expose illegalities that the gov aint gonna do anything about during this autocracy.

Class actions are garbage. The plaintiff gets a few dollars while the attorneys get millions.

@ak the case has made it to federal court. It hasn’t been decided. Good luck learning to read.

@ah
Wha, what? @ag is right.
TVC is completely discretionary.
Good luck in getting that. But then again, nothing suprises me anymore.

@a7 it doesn’t say 6 minute increments. You will now be known as the 6 minute man because of your continuing obsession with this falsehood.

@ag if the case had no merit, it would’ve been tossed. But yes, tell us more about your sophisticated, legal opinions.

It'll be tough for her to prove that the bank wasn't going to downsize anyway, which it did.

Also, to prove that you deserve an exceeds expectations while on leave is a little naive.

And then, how do you prove, specifically, that she "lost" $22,500 in bonus money due to that updated year end rating which is completely discretionary.

They should make this a class-action. I’m sure there are thousands of impacted current or ex employees who would love to join the lawsuit.

This is standard operations for WF. We've all either directly experienced it, or observed it at some point. WF actually wanted a sight impaired person on my team to take the bus to the office every week -completely ignoring multiple safety concerns with the late commute back home. Guess who got cut shortly after???

It would be great if this case brought about some meaningful change for the employees, but the only thing it will do is drive Exec. Leadership & HR to cover their tracks better when axing employees that have legit circumstances.

I actually lol'd at the mention in the article to the in-office reporting used to micromanage everybody in 6 minute increments.

Thanks for sharing! This is almost the exact experience I had after taking medical leave and being granted an accomodation.
