Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

RTO enforced unevenly

RTO 3/4 days a week: some managers in Risk are not enforcing it, letting their good butt buddy cronies slide. Why bother commuting for nothing but Teams meetings, when the guy next to me is getting a pass?

Wells Fargo is no longer a meritocracy, its a cronyocracy.

Well, I’m gonna keep taking my chances getting around the so called guidelines. Live a little.

  1. you don't know whether their manager is "letting it slide" or not. Some people even if warned will persist in the behavior until the s**t gets real (corrective action/warning, etc) - and some even after that happens.
  2. any manager that doesn't enforce and document is signing their own termination.

If you think anything is even at wells you’re mistaken

Exactly this. Mockery is the only way.

When was Wells Fargo ever a meritocracy? That must have been before my time.

@OP just worry about yourself. not trying to be mean but your post sounds pretty childish. and as others have noted, violators will be let go sooner or later.

Honestly, good for them

I wish I could find more ways to subvert RTO expectations. With the teams I've been on it's been pretty cut and dry. The more people working to poke holes in the RTO regime, the better, imo.

Worst case scenario, these people end up being targets to meet Charlie's headcount reduction goals. Better them than you. Best case scenario, the RTO mandate evolves into a swiss cheese of exceptions and team specific rules, making it all the easier for a future leader to justify doing away with.

There isn't a downside, and your post just comes across as jealousy. We should be rooting for as many people as possible to challenge the RTO mandate, explicitly or covertly.

Any manager "letting it slide" will be among the next wave of IMs and will be termed if they dont do their job. Its already happened to some.

How do you know they are getting a pass? They could be using PTO.

Not true.

RTO days and hours tracking reports roll up to the top of Risk.

No manager has the ability to let anyone slide.
