For those not attending, what is the news? Best of luck all around!

@am I counted more ‘you know’s than actual points.
In this new meeting they simply explained the changes. Some are going to "specialized partners" and how it's flexible, blah blah. All this stuff we knew here.
Those employees will mostly keep their same access and more just be rebadged.
The announcement meeting this morning had a lot of talk about showing respect and dignity to people. How does holding a stressful meeting super early for all the west coast people show them any respect? It also seems disrespectful to include so many on the announcement call that weren't directly impacted.
Are they trying to ki-l moral and make people quit? .... Well, this is probably a rhetorical question.
@bz the cruelty is their po-n.
@c3 truth. They were sued in court for discrimination and lost

@bg this typically resets your tenure to zero. They need to be loud and clear if that is not normally the case. The assumption you should make is not “your job is transferred”, it is “you have accepted a new job”. Don’t trust, read and verify.
@ba I would assume, based on how I’ve seen other companies handle this, that you agree or resign your position. Which usually means no severance. That sounds awful but I’d read carefully because usually the move to the new company zeros your tenure and you get nine when they are done with you anyhow. These are very one sided.
This Cognizant company has a long history of being racist and discriminatory towards anyone who isn’t from India.
I'm so sorry to hear about what is happening to you and your team. I'm significantly underpaid due to starting in that program. I don't doubt that I'll be underpaid for the rest of my career unless I find the right opportunity. The thought of calculating how far behind I am because I've stayed for so long gives me nightmares- not just in salary, but in the money I could have made investing. I don't think I want to know. I'm nowhere close to market rate. I should have paid more attention to the red flags.
@OP Any contractors hear anything about their status? I got nothing yet
Will report back tomorrow to update on the retainer call, if anything new is made available to us.
@by they are sociopaths. They either don’t care or like it.
If you executive level managers are reading these threads, you need to reconsider this decision and band together to push back against this absolutely asinine and morale destroying path you are taking.
@bv more information is shared here than comes from the C Suite on any given day. The accuracy is remarkable. Managers post here too with information from their meetings. Some have posted that they have been grilled by their Directors about what is posted here, so clearly they read it too. If the information was inaccurate, they wouldn't care. I can't imagine that they care about the damage that they are inflicting on their employees as long as they compensation keeps coming at many multiples of what the front line is making. That they are feckless and stupid is something that they cannot process. That they are responsible for these failures is also unimaginable to them as long as the cash pours in. This space serves an important purpose. Clearly, the word has spread. If you see something, say something.
@bs it's titled Ask Me Anything, I doubt that there will be any answers that make sense. It will be all corporate speak, "going lean or for the good of the company or to drive sales." Holding the meeting allows them to check the box that they gave employees a chance to ask questions. No one in their right mind will speak the truth. It's just too risky. This is for the benefit of HR and the executive team, not for retained employees.
@OP no news or indication from my leadership on this course of action (destruction?) that I am reading on here. Over 14k views !! This is pretty large number of people and over one third of FIS I believe watching this space that I have not seen before on the layoff site which I have been following for couple of years. I can’t even imagine the affect it’s going to cause on mental well being of employees who are looking into these posts. I am part of Issuing solutions (ex TSYS) business based in the UK and my team and I are pretty much stacked up with revenue generating projects and literally do fire fighting everyday to keep the ball rolling. We don’t have any clue as to what’s going on across the pond in the US - our leadership is US based. Since our move to FIS, we have been reading everyday about RIFs and AI and other things that are potentially going to make years of our experience and service to the organisation (15 for myself) end in a matter of hours or minutes and making me feel so timid and useless :( I am feeling so bad about myself and all who are affected. I am not broken but disheartened. I can still fight, and have to, to keep the house and bills getting paid but for God sake, please don’t make me blind before throwing me into the ring without the boxing gloves ! All the EXEcs- big shame on you lot. Just remember that Karma will get you for what you have done. Peace 🙏🏽
@bs Yeah, I got one of those. I'm in Tech Dev in the US
Some just received an invite for a meeting tomorrow morning 9:00 et Ask Me Anything Session:PS.
These were people who were retained.
@b3 in Europe we just got a invite for a call for tomorrow to say some of us are retained.
@be a lot of management knew nothing about this up to quite a high level ( VP)
@be to keep around the ones they need. If they announce it 6 months ahead of time people move or really dial back. A shock & awe move. Layoff gets a deer in the headlights reaction and they get at least some regular work out of you
@ag was this US specific
@OP Kordoba Core line affected?
@an within Europe it's very quiet as far as I know
@at was this US specific
@b6 Was told more information would follow in next week +. Sounds bogus.
does anyone know what happens with the severance package if folks are forced to move to a contractor position? Is that how FIS is getting around paying out the 2 weeks per year severance? That’s the only thing keeping many of us here.
I am a PS consultant in the FISU program and I (and others) just got the call that I/we would be laid off on June 30 just days before promotion the first week of July. We don’t make a lot of money in the first two years of the program and we aren’t eligible for yearly bonuses. I’m disappointed in myself for having faith that FIS would reward its young talent after dedicating formative years of their careers.
If cognizant is brought in, the management should have know this for a while, why are they pretending they have no information on what’s going on?
@bc double negative?
@b4 I don’t think the rumor that “if you weren’t a part of the 2nd meeting you have 90 days” is not correct.
Are there any updates in London? I haven’t received anything since the town hall meeting
From the PS side under Koushik and I was the only one on my immediate team that will be moving to Cognizant or being moved. Apparently, my manager did not know about this and is pretty upset of the communication style. Those who were on the second call will eventually get an email from Congnizant to accept the job and we have to accept it in 5 days Or ELSE?????? (No explanation as to what happens if we dont accept) All those who are moving to Cognizant will officially be their employee as of April 13 and no longer part of FIS.
@b6 I was just in a call and a principal Soft Eng. hadn't heard anything, yet, in techdev. I know some QA have been told they were to move over to a partner.
@b4 but there are a lot of teams who are also staying at FIS, it s not either outsourced or fired
@b6 pretty quiet so far, as someone on a lower rung.
Has any one gotten any updates from TechDev? Haven’t had any follow ups since the morning meeting
@b2 I don't think that's completely accurate. I know people reporting up to koushik through Justine Chen and they are ok (for now)
@b3 Under my director, anyone who wasn’t part of the second town hall (the one telling us we were going to Cognizant) are being told/going to be told they have 90 more days at FIS. I don’t know about other directors under Koushik, but under mine, this is the case. The result is over half the people I work with will not be employees very much longer. I don’t know if this is one way to ki-l products, but I don’t know how we can continue with our current workload with half the resources, but it certainly seems that way. I don’t buy being able to train someone in 90 days.
@b2 do you have more information? Half the resources for 90 days. Other half let go? Any geography or product specific?
