By constantly cutting and piling on work, they're ensuring the employees left behind will have nothing left to give. That lack of engagement and energy will directly hurt the bottom line in the long run. They're trading tomorrow's success for today's spreadsheet. We're being run by id--ts.

I think there is some confusion here. We don't have leaders, we have managers who think they are leaders. Managers are there to ensure everyone does their job or at least tries to deliver something. Leaders inspire their staff to go above and beyond. Teradata lost leaders years ago, hence why the culture is so bad. What's left is only managers who are put in place to ensure there is some semeblence of order as the ship sinks slowly beneath the waves
New leadership s..ks
@ag The best recent time to flee for the exits was in 2021. Unfortunately, in 2026, staying here and getting ground to bone meal seems more reasonable than trying to find a new job in the Trump economy. Leadership knows this and they squeeze because they can.
@a2 “The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance” (Proverbs 21:5)
These plans are not of the diligent, my bible thumping bud.
Youre right. It is just business, and that goes both ways. Ive agreed to provide my time and energy for an amount of compensation. If they would like me to provide more than the agreed on time and energy, they can further compensate me.
My life is not a charity either.
I am not religious but I agree with @a2 you guys all need to grow a spine and get your acts together. This isn't a charity it's a business
Crying “short-sighted leadership” every time standards go up is just laziness quoting itself. The Bible already settled this: “The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance” (Proverbs 21:5). Translation: grown ups build, complainers cope.
Real leadership isn’t here to protect feelings or ration effort, it’s here to win. Pressure isn’t cruelty; it’s how results are made. If more work breaks your spirit, the problem isn’t the spreadsheet; it’s the spine.
