$1 trillion valuation first for non tech company. Stock thru the roof. And here is Nike claiming to be a tech company under JD and continuing to underwhelm both in tech and product.
Sure it's not a 1 to 1 comparison but goes to show competent leadership can weather headwinds like tariffs which if anything expose Walmart equally if not more! And BTW a lot of the Walmart growth is attributed to astute use of technology.
Few years back had the opportunity to join Walmart tech, back then Nike was the cool kid so I didn't consider it... Dang it!

Ok somehow this turned into a tech bashing fest. If biz folks who make their living on so called strategy cannot rein in tech, then that's on them. It's poor management and leadership that's to blame not poor execution (by tech) of poor strategy.
Original point was Walmart using same or similar tech resources blew it out of the park because their strategy was great, whereas Nike keeps blaming tech for a lack of business strategy and vision. RA and VA, your move.
all top tech is done by Indians, yeah. what a coincidence all software and tech is getting worse and worse. oh don't forget Indians are the ones coding the surveillance tech cause they don't care.

you get what you pay for, and in nike's case, they are paying a lot more to have india do the technology tasks and are actually getting less, in most cases they produce zero, haven't heard one positive thing, not one

Physical location doesn't matter. Leadership sits right here in PHK. You get what you pay for. NIke tech seems to have the bottom of the barrel coders who learnt their trade from a coding for dummies book. For too long, Nike tech leadership has knowingly or unknowingly been hoodwinked by unscrupulous tech shops. The leading tech companies in the world are led by Indians..MS, Google, Adobe, IBM to name a few. When direction and leadership is right, the work gets done right,with quality and on time.
Nike leaders are mostly clueless into empire building or worse.
