Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

What’s the layoff strategy?

I know there are people active on this site that have been helpful as we’ve faced these recent layoffs.
I’m curious if they, or anyone, has credible information on the strategy here. It seems this past round had a large focus on remote, performance review, and a bit grading. Is there a magic number of reduction we are aiming for? Or a magic number of remote workforce?

I’m curious from the recent layoffs. Managers, how did you have to decide who to layoff? What was the criteria?

@ag It has to be approved at some high levels, but I know some people that have successfully volunteered for a layoff package. You can always ask your manager. They don't always get a say when the word comes, but they might be able to pick you if you let them know.

Standard layoff strategy is the people with bad reviews and the people that are at the higher end of their pay grade. I don't think there will ever be an end to it.
