C'mon ATT. You've sent plenty of good people packing, yet somehow missed a significant number of freeloaders who haven't worked an honest day in years. Those Detractors bring down the performance of everyone around them, always complaining about a policy or a meeting or Visa workers or the current leadership. Profitability would increase by reducing the distraction of employees who clearly don't want to be here. We aren't short on headcount. We are short on employees who are willing to work. Build a better workforce.

Whoa, whoa brotha. I dressed myself today. Doesn't that count? Joking. I am checked out but with solid skills and searching for next gig. But you keep thinking M-F, 8-5 and a c-suite that could care less about you is the right thing to do. Keep telling yourself it's all worth it, they'll recognize it. Nah, you'll be cut at some point soon. Cheers though!

Sure, just completed a new certification and working on some additional ones in AI and azure. My skills are really outdated /sarc. I take more classes per year that you’ve probably had in 10. Welcome to the tech space, where you better have the latest and greatest. Problem is the tech job market is the worst it’s ever been. Try reading the news. Nobody is hiring.
And of course, the organization and leadership shares no accountability for updating skills and/or performance managing any workers.

I can't imagine why anyone would stay rather than do something to improve their value if they are so miserable. I've seen a lot of excuses for it posted on here, but some people are simply built to perform at a minimal level all of their lives.
@ag - I think they realize that.
What executives don't realize, is the attrition policies push out the good workers with skills and options. The deadbeats who are punching clocks stay behind and put up with the pain.
