Thread regarding Cigna layoffs

So done with layoffs

You win, Cigna. You win. I'll be out of here as soon as I land a new job. And I'll do my best to make it as soon as possible. Your plan is working. Also, fu-k you.

@yf You're very right. They've handled this terribly. However, their ruthless behavior may affect the productivity of those remaining. After the dust settles, if if ever does, reliable and productive employees will be needed to carry the company forward. I'm hearing that many that didn't accept the VRP are disgusted.

A poorly thought out plan dumped on us? Not Cigna!

@y1 . Those who accepted VRP won’t be told their date until early September. “Rumor” has it that September 27th will be the date for most except for those who are operational critical. It’s a sh-tshow because management keeps changing the rules. These people have no clue how to be leaders.

FYI - there is supposed to be a second early retirement program early next year. I believe it will be open to Tech and OPS this time, other specifics TBD.

Might be worth it to hang in if you may be eligible.

I felt the same. It was hard but I waited it out for them to lay me off. I had to. I wasn’t letting them get away with not giving me severance. I had over twenty years with them. Not sure how long you have in to determine if it’s worth trying to wait for that but def look for something else
