There’s way too much complaining in here and not nearly enough action. Corporate America isn’t fair, it never was. If you want better pay or conditions, you’ve got to push for them or walk away. Sitting around waiting for handouts is a dead end. I know this might sound harsh, but that’s the game.

The fact that this company and others call themselves health care companies, is the biggest joke! They are not in the business of providing health care, they are in the business of selling insurance coverage plans to other companies at ridiculous fees, so they make money - lots of money - too much money! Gail and her cronies care NOTHING about the members - which are the ones these kind of companies are to serve - or the employees. All Gail cares about is now much money she can rake in before she leaves! She is a liar, a fraud, and an insult to every employee of Hellavance!
@OP What a total ignoramus you are! Whose butt are you kissing these days?
@What the OP doesn't realize is many of the people that post on this site are no longer at the company
that is why we can speak the truth - you would be wise to pay freaking attention to people who know the inside info -
What department?
@bt which LOBs?
Big RIF coming on 6/26 across multiple orgs! Stay mad senior leadership that the dates are getting leaked here! You can’t control this site like you control the narrative everywhere else.
What the OP doesn't realize is many of the people that post on this site are no longer at the company. :) Nice attempt at damage control. Just noticed the EH stock is well below $400 again.... So glad I put my money elsewhere!!!
@ag That's a great idea, go for it. Also congratulations on putting "you" first; this not the only candy shop in the healthcare industry!!!!!!
Whoever wrote this probably believes a firm handshake will get you the job
OP, a little empathy wouldn’t hurt. People are allowed to express frustration, and others are allowed to respond. You don’t speak for everyone here, so maybe ease up on the self-appointed spokesperson role.
Glad to hear you’ve got thick skin—genuinely, good for you. But let’s not pretend you’re offering some groundbreaking insight. Most people do know their options: apply out or wait it out. And yes, many are quietly working on their exit plans.
In the meantime, this space gives folks a place to vent and feel heard. That matters, especially when internal recognition is lacking. Promotions are rare, and when they do happen, the raises are often underwhelming. So let people process things how they need to.
@OP expecting fair treatment and not to be arbitrarily riffed because the executive leadership here can’t mange adequately is not asking for a handout.
Not expecting the be rebadged and ultimately kicked to the curb is not asking for a handout.
BTW, I have already left and am much happier. But I still empathize with what everyone deals with here.
So respectfully…GFY
No one is asking for a handout. We're honestly help keep each other sane, which is an action. I guess you're probably part of upper management so that's why you're unable to figure that out.
Tough talk from someone either with a golden parachute or has been insulated from the consequences of their own stupidity for years.
@az 🤣 thank you for your PROFOUND and wisdom!
Get a thicker skin is right. You can either be a victim or step up and take control of your career.
3/10.
People who work here have by and large worked their azz off - often doing the work of 2 people due to poor staffing beyond their control. They have dealt with micro management, bean counting, low raises and low AIP's while C suite makes 300x the average employee.
Go to a Town Hall as "an average non sales person" - listen to lack of appreciation or acknowledgement for Operations - all the praise to Sales - moreover listen to what they are talking about and see if you even understand WTh they are even talking about - programs platforms etc you know nothing about. And the Q&A is ironically only 5 min
with preplanned "submitted questions"
People are exhausted, they are not complaining, they are desperate to be HEARD.
I have worked here more than 20 yrs. I have accomplished a great deal - what hand out have I received - what am I waiting for - nothing. I wanted better pay - but apparently you don't know how that budget process, works there is only so much pie -everyone needs a slice - and you have NO input into your merit budget or AIP budget - there is no "asking for more" - and if you get promoted and are already "in the range" of the new job little to no raise.
Maybe I should start a post that says - "Here is the truth" - and add to it regularly. BTW I left. Never been healthier.
Hi Gail. Thanks for tip! Easy for you to say as you don’t live in reality.
