RTO Gas @ $7/Gallon - Will CEO and CXO suite consider monthly bonus for 60k employees

It is deeply frustrating to navigate a demanding, long-distance Return to Office (RTO) mandate while balancing personal caregiving responsibilities, especially when that burden is not shared by the executive team.

The Reality of RTO Disparity

1) Executive Perks vs. Employee Costs: While executives often have commuting costs (limos, premium transport) covered as business expenses, average employees face thousands in annual fuel, vehicle maintenance, and parking costs.

2) The Caregiver Burden: RTO policies disproportionately impact employees with young children, creating immense pressure on work-life balance that senior leadership—whose families are often grown—frequently fail to recognize.Impact on

3) Retention: Research indicates that 80% of companies that enforced strict RTO mandates experienced talent loss, with high-skilled, senior-level staff, and women being the most likely to leave.

If its squawking, and it's illegal to fly civilian if it's not, this will track it.

@kh I once tried to figure out which of these they actually use because I wanted to see how much they are being used for personal vacations. I know it can be done, but I eventually gave up. Most, if not all of the planes showing up as owned by USB are as trustee, which is just hiding the true owner. It's possible USB does the same thing and doesn't technically own the plane they use.

@d5 The only thing I can come up with is if a large number of people refused to do the RTO thing. Right now it seems like 10% or less are doing this, and they are probably fine with removing that many people. If it was half, they would be forced to make changes. But it seems to be impossible to get to that level without a union.

@OP YOU get nothing so GK can fly one of the 7 corporate jets back home to Pittsburgh to be with her family. Funny, I tried tracking the tail numbers, but USB has blocked flight tracking.... here they are...N1898B: 2017 Dassault Aviation Falcon 7X; N912MT: 2015 Bombardier BD-700-1A11; N975MT: 2016 Dassault Aviation Falcon 2000EX; N359GS: 2017 Gulfstream G280; N558SP: 2016 Learjet 45 ; N500NB: 2021 Embraer EMB-545; N1852B: 2023 Gulfstream G650ER; and we also own a 757 last flown by Delta N518US: 1986 Boeing 757-251

@d5 It's hard to organize action because the company has leverage over everyone. They probably laugh about how they control our lives via our pay checks.

That being said, a few ideas, no employee should own company stock. There's a million other investments that will yield better returns. No employee should use any of the company's products. Open accounts with Chase (they will give you like $900 for checking and savings if you move your direct deposit there). Ask friends and family if they bank here to bank elsewhere. If 4000 people read this site and can each convince a few other people to move banks the bank loses 10,000+ customers.

They rolled out new employee banking products, they advertise on our screensavers for Christ sake, don't give them your business.

There's probably other things you could think of, but not sure of the legality of any of that.

@dx do you think if there was anywhere to go people would stay with a company like this? No. No we would not.

And then when the employment market conditions shift and everyone you told to "go work somewhere else" does and there's nobody to do the work and all your SMEs have left you're gonna go "😮 I didn't mean like that"

@d3 well said. You think it’s a BMW though? I think it is a Tesla truck.

@d3 I am as PO’d about RTO also. But please come up with some ideas to change it. instead of constantly posting the same things over an over. Remember when everyone was going to do a sick out or everyone was just not going in the office for a day? None of those things happened. Come up with some ideas that the maybe 4000 people who actually come on this site regularly would follow.

@af whichever braindead exec this is, do yall have circlej--ks in the bathroom at plaza? You want us to keep the complaining down so you can focus on how great the office is because your home lives are miserable?

I bet you drive around in some lame BMW, the first rung you reached for to climb into the lowest tier of upper middle class wage slavery... and you think you're special.

The only power you have in this world is making employees lives miserable, congrats I guess. Nobody will remember you other than your circlej--kboomers

@OP We all know it stinks. But what do you suggest WE do about it besides quitting? Years ago you all scoffed a the Occupy Wall Street protesters. They had a point and you were all laughing at them and calling them sc-m. I was there and was very uncomfortable about the reaction from my co workers, but we all needed our jobs. Now the realization that big banks are sc--wing us over. During the big recession you all took a week of pay cuts. Where was the outrage back then?

@af no it's people like you who ruin the culture further. You're nothing but a parrot of the people who created this whole mess.

Bootlicking won't save you from a layoff, champ.

@af

How about this deal, champ?

I will stop complaining just as soon as you stop bootlicking. Let me know as soon as you are able to.

@a6

Maybe if you kept that "few hundred a month" you could afford some periods and a few remedial grammar lessions.

That way, you'd come off as just a dimwitted bootlicker, as opposed to your current role as an illiterate, dimwitted bootlicker.

@af you can’t think of anything better than stop complaining? I will take $500/month of your disposable income so I can park, eat downtown, and start saving for the vericose vein surgery I will need for being sedentary. The OP was informative, yours is tired and stinks of you should probably retire. Super happy for you though.

@OP Either quit or stop complaining. Enough is enough, sick of hearing you complain about returning to the office. If you want to work at the bank you need to be in the office, if you don’t want to be in the office, quit and find a new job. This complaining is getting ridiculous.

@a6 AI slop or not a few hundred dollars is a lot of money for more people than you'd think. Just because it's not a lot to YOU doesn't mean it's not a make or break for someone else's budget.

Did you just say MONTHLY bonus?

Post ID: @a5+1krf9a2a8

Absolutely not. There are also about 40k employees in offices and about 30k remote. They've already denied raises to even baseline touch cost of living. Why the he-l would the consider raises to compensate for gas? They'll just tell you to quit and find a job that better suited your lifestyle needs.

Everything you said is right, but this place will absolutely not pay people more because they forced RTO. They'd rather people just quit. Saves them money. Efficiency ratio and all.
