Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Oil and Iran

Hurry before some snowflake complains about a factual statement by our president and they take this down again.

DT “The United States is the largest Oil Producer in the World, by far, so when oil prices go up, we make a lot of money,”

@OP wasn’t the idea to bring down cost to consumers in the U.S.? Who voted for him for higher costs of everything, not the least of which is gas prices ? Didnt he say no new wars? You guys really will just give him cover for literally anything he does.

Why is HR downvoting this? This is a legitimate concern for our industry and company. We do NOT want to be associated with profiting from war.

DJT’s latest bald face lie - he talked with a former President who said he wished he had taken this action against Iran. Translation - DJT saying how bold, brave, and decisive and insightful he is. Problem is that, when contacted, none of the former Presidents have had any contact with DJT - it’s a complete fiction and likely a sign of increasing dementia.

Some simple follow up questions that a reasonable president would be able to answer: Assuming we are the biggest producer, are we able to refine our own crude in existing US refineries? Is that the most profitable enterprise to our "free market" O&G companies? Or do those companies understand what our light sweet crude is worth on overseas markets as well as our own domestic capabilities for refining heavy crude? Does the net volume have true benefit when we are talking about different types of crude markers in a global ecosystem? Sadly, as one other poster mentioned, GWB would have understood these questions. We have fallen so far

Correction the President, people like MW and other oligarchs make money. Us average workers won't make a penny more.

Putting whether we support this president or not, we do not want to be associated with such a statement. That war is good for business, therefore we want war for profit’s sake. We cannot be seen as war profiteers.

At least Bush could legitimately talk about oil. Private Bones Spurs cannot nor does he know anything about war or peace.
