Wells Fargo cuts more jobs at West Des Moines location

The company reported to Iowa WARN it will let go of 49 employees at the Wells Fargo West Des Moines campus on South Jordan Creek Parkway near Mills Civic Parkway. Those employees will clock out for the last time on April 4.

@OP - that WARN notice means that the people were actually notified in february and are now on their non-working notice period.

Final plan was provided. In the end only Charlotte, MSP and NYC.

They won't be leaving DM anytime soon. They are spending a fortune to overhaul a campus that wasn't old or dated to begin with. It was a nice, relaxed, comfortable environment and they're now turning it into the set of 2001 A Space Odyssey. If there was a limited market of potential buyers before, WF re-do has limited the market even more. It's a mix of side-by-side open seating or staggered rows of offset 4x4 desktops.

If WF had any thought of leaving DM they would have dumped the Jordan Creek building for pennies on the dollar, same as they did with the former WFHM HQ on Westtown Pkwy, and same as the old Cards site.

DM, San Antonio, St Louis will probably be the first larger hubs to close. It's a matter of time. They are quickly running out of people to fire outside of hubs.
