When some one gets RIF
do they lose all their unused Pto also?
Hope they get good severance package

Not only do you loose it but they block you from using it before your RIF date. I had to fight to use some of it and lost some.

@af Unless you are in one of the few states that legally require unused PTO to be paid out, they will NOT pay it out.
My severance didn't include my unused PTO. I haven't been paid for my PTO yet :/
It depends on the laws in the state where you live.
They lose pto and sick time.
