Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Raises or hush money?

These raises would be nice if they didn’t always monitor our idle time and other methods to micromanage us. That’s nice you paid a couple more bucks but i can’t even go to the bathroom without getting anxious because i haven’t clicked my mouse in 91 seconds. I haven’t even been here long and I hate every second of it .And don’t even get me started on these gossiping supervisors ….so unprofessional! I know multiple people who have been here over 10 -15 years still begging for a promotion or raise… That WILL NOT be me!

@aewq.....That MIGHT cover the postage on the next round of auto renewals and ID cards. And gut the company of most experienced employees. Ipresume that you would be the arbiter of who's overpaid and useless?
Gotta love the "easy fix" solutions from people who struggle just to login every morning.

Its an easy fix. Cut 25 million dollar bonuses, cut all overpaid six digiters who provide no value, cut excessive overhead and put it where the action is......the cutomer!

The OC's were terrific in their day. Just like claim service centers all over the place were great in their day. But the world doesn't work that way anymore. Our competitors cut prices by cutting expense, and we have to respond because our customers will no longer agree to pay the higher price for the service (even though they feel is somehow their birthright.) They are now convinced that whatever they pay is too much, and whatever they receive is too little. That's not an easy situation to fix.

Shutting down the OC’s and going all in on the hubs was one of the worst decisions the company has made. The OC’s were great jobs in the communities and people stayed. The hubs offer average paying jobs in cities where there are many options to choose from which creates high turnover. Working from home has helped allow the company to hire across the country.

No one gets termimated after paying 250,000,000.00 for a RICO allegation because it was a "business decision." Same sh*t just at a different level with different players. Same trash up and down the ranks. Its just the little guy who pays a higher price personally and not with company dollars.

That's no where close to hush money.

@izsu. Agents don’t get fired for incompetence. They just get ignored and don’t make money.
Agents get fired for gross misconduct, by bringing negative attention on the company. Can’t tell you how many I’ve seen get suddenly dismissed a few months after they were paraded across a stage for great sales numbers.

OP doesnt work for SF. You only get talked to about moving your mouse when there is a suspicious amount of inactivity, which is only possible in a few roles due to most being call center roles. I work in a phone center role, when its slow i can sit until my screen saver goes off no issue ever. Your muse jiggler thread (s) are the same, out of touch and shows youve not worked here for a long time. Not sure what your obsession is with pretending that WFH isnt working and how people are monitored. Funfact: your boss doesnt have time to monitor everyone like that, just the proven problem workers.

This thread is made by the same agitator/spammer that ruins the site for us all. So is the first response.

Also, its not hush money if the people being paid dont know what to keep quiet about, and youve not told us what that thing is.

I can see why the company let you go, your not very smart. Were you an agent who got his agency taken away for incompetence? I think so

Hush money? For what? A huge company in a service industry is cutting people to cut costs. It’s hard to reach a human and get questions answered. Unfortunately, this is now normal and everybody expects it.

Hush money for what? What deep dark secret do you have that $2/hour buys your silence. Just take the raise and be thankful it was $2/hour and not $1 ffs.

I do not like that you are micromanaged.

Once I cool down from cutting my grass, I might comment more.
