Please! Release me from my misery!! I've been trying to leave on my own but no luck so far. Give me my safety net and kick me out, I'll thank you on my way out.

I login every day. There is an occasional flurry of emails or a must attend meeting. Everything is very urgent. The reality is a 30 minute job has a 4 week budget. Most of that time spent waiting for access to do the job. Then waiting for someone to test it, and someone else to deploy it. Oh I did write a document. I made that last all morning. I've lost track of the emails... They pay me for this!
I applied to be let me go. They said no. I've done about a day's work per month since applying. It's still a no.
Just don't login.
I was waiting for more than 5 years and doing nothing, kind of managing few lazy Indians. Finally they laid me off. I already had new job in the pocket and I started one month later. Now I have to work but I like my 2 year salary package from DXC. I could buy more than 1kg gold when I got it... Stupid me I left money in the bank.

I suspect the posters manager could say that his performance is below standard if he did that and get hm/her fired?
I’m following the principle of attempting to do enough, with email regular email requests to do more, to stay below the radar.
You do have an out. Stop all work and look for a job full-time. Just send the occasional email and fill all timesheets.
Only problem if they had an old school for all redundancy round when you could apply for VR to avoid need of forced redundancies, they would be overwhelmed by applicants.
Plus it would cost them money.
So instead we have the current situation, loads of fed up uninterested folk doing as little as possible
