Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

That moment when you realize

Everyone in your management chain above your 1-up are buddies from a previous financial institution. You would think they might try to hide that fact rather than broadcast it. The who you know, not what you know, is in full swing.

Shareholders need not worry. They will be replaced by AI agents "soon". Just like that bridge in Brooklyn Charlie just sold.

Been with WF for a looooong time. And I have to say, this is the worst nepotism I've ever seen. Its true. And for those of us who have been around as long as I, we might have gotten one or two back in the day. Soon, they were acclimated to WF and we, the worker bees, never really saw a difference.
Now? Holy cow, they move in, fire existing technical staff, bring in their buddies and replace everyone over a period of time.
I liken it to locusts...they move as a group, strip the ground bare of anything good, then move on to the next green pasture.

Are you that insecure? Somebody always comes from somewhere else these days.

@a6 and @ab

I had been under long-time WF management chain until the last reorg. They're all new names. I get the sentiment, but you gotta be a little more insightful than that. Reorgs are happening as fast as seats disappear in a game of musical chairs. Move fast, break everything seems to be the motto.

I mean we don’t call untouchables for no reason.

@ae
Yes, but they were our cliques. Even if we weren't directly included in them, they still generally looked out for us.

This has always been true. It’s just that in the past, they were mostly internal, but there have always been clicques. This is just how human beings operate.
