Who designed Myverizon app? If that was done by in house team, then we clearly have some people who should be cut

Anyone doing puzzles in office should be on the list.
Most of Infosys and the Verizon folks in GTS who’ve taken their eye off the ball for years. Most of HCL/Customer Care who are not fit for purpose. Sourcing are inefficient and ineffective. Security just want to tell you why you can’t do something rather than help. It’s a long list….
All of GTS. So many problems wouldn’t exist or be easily resolved if not for the incompetence and “processes” in that group. And I haven’t even touched on the outsourcing or contractors.

We all know they waist our money on the big scam firms and try and te--orize the smaller good ones and make sure they don’t have a chance to bid work. Some big scam firm will bid $10 million dollars and give sourcing a $2 million dollar discount, sourcing saved $2 million dollars according to them. Same scope, the small good firm will bid $2 million dollars and won’t have remove to discount because they did a fair / honest job in bidding the work, sourcing says “we didn’t save money”, so it’s better to spend the $8 million on the big firm who does horrible work. Sourcing math.
Mostly Accenture, mixed with Insights Global contractors and internal CX teams, plus whatever disaster of overseas GTS teams and vendors like Infosys get assigned. Insights Global contractors and the internal India team have been building components for the last year or so, and most of them are completely broken. Recently, for weeks on the app homepage, a carousel wasn’t loading and was dumping lines of code directly onto the page.
We have better vendors that are actually cheaper, including a small US based company that built the Inside Verizon mobile app. Embarrassingly, that app looks and works better and was built with less budget than a single widget on the MyVerizon app. We’ve talked for years about using them for the “next version” of the MyVerizon app for a decade, but politics (sourcing and executive big consulting relationships) get in the way and we don’t even invite them to bid.
It is time to stop feeding bad teams and bad vendors work. We have plenty of funding, and everyone knows who does the best work at VZ. We just don’t allow the best on the field to play in the game.
