Please, somebody tell me they managed to get some offers because I'm starting to get genuinely depressed.

Job search is iffy. Difficult to know the real story behind that open req. Also, folks do not always interview well, particularly under stress. All being said, getting to second or third round is proving to be challenging now. No idea why. Whatever it is, this too shall pass. Or we shall. Depression does not help either way. Good luck.

high layoff numbers are primarily from Govt workers who left in Sept when the FY ended.
look at October layoff numbers. stunning, highest in last 20 years.
all of them are chasing 500 open roles (i am exaggerating).
this is not good and not healthy.
the stock market is hitting records literally every day and it'll get even better.
so you and i who are looking for jobs, we are pretty much fu---d.
all those people who are sitting on piles of capital, they are doing better and better every day.
so, now we have this economy, where firms are doing really good but nothing trickles down. on the contrary, the inflation is eating into your wages and benefits are gradually being taken away.
our kids are fu---d. really. and yet, there is a group of people who are just fine, and they are like 'what's up, why are people pi---d'.
this is why folks are giving DJT a blank check to do whatever he needs to do. this is why that nyc mayor is being given the blan check to introduce socialism, communism or whatever you call it. this is the same reflext. people are just pi---d, it does not matter what the ideology is, just blow it up, it's not working for 80% of people.
now, we can continue to be distracted, you can call me right wing, or a communist, or whatever, but that does not really address the issue - 80% of people are pi---d and are not participating in the benefits that the econ growth brings. that's the problem.
and if you look at left or right, nobody is doing anything to address this.
so, it'll continue like this, it'll blow over and it'll be a fu--ing mess of epic proportions - i do not think the country can survive this.

Can we at least try to be helpful, here? My suggestion - and I'm certainly no expert, but these are things I'm starting to do myself - don't just search on LInkedIn and Indeed. Get your resume reviewed by a professional (lots of services will do the initial review for free). Join some networking groups in real life - I know lots of local churches that host them. I've joined two groups, and if nothing else, it's good to have people to talk to who understand what you're going through and want to help.

Health insurance is broken here and the food is poison
My gosh , someone left 16 months ago and is still posting on here!
16 months and nothing. Still applying cold. Someone got hired in couple months though. Your mileage may vary.
I would expect a 6-9 month job search timeline if you are in any white collar function. It’s painful.
