Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Corporate influence

It seems corporate for UHG/Optum frequent these pages and nudges the website to get things deleted/ removed. Which further proves how bad this company is. However, screen shots of the replies that reflect how upper level management and normal employees feel can always be taken. Maybe start to treat your state side employees better. Have middle, upper and executive management take compassion and empathy courses and remind the shareholders you are a healthcare company and need to stop offshoring overseas. Trying to hide the truth won’t make those survey scores go up. We will see what unfolds in October. The dates I keep hearing are the 13th and 30th. The 13th is on a Monday so maybe they’re trying to deviate from the normal Thursday schedule.

I think UHG or Optum purchased this website and clearly censors posts criticizing their management and overseas regulatory violations! All my signed posts have been removed because I made accurate remarks about the working conditions and my free speech rights have been violated! This company is a cancer in corporate America and it’s future is to be a contractor for socialized medicine. Fu-k you Optum!

@ae Gaslighting? You don’t think asking thousands of employees (largely FT telecommuters) to come into office nearly full-time is a business strategy? You don’t think the employee survey is a tool utilized by upper management?

@a8 the survey went out to all companies under UHG, not just Optum. The survey is biannual now so it was time for this one to show up. Stop trying to gaslight people.

I have to wonder why the survey immediately after the RTO announcement. - trying to get a feel for how effective the strategy to get people to quit without paying severance packages was?

I wonder what kind of burden this upheaval will have on their employees mental health. It already has and it hasn’t even happened yet. Those that don’t care just haven’t been affected - yet.

@a2
While I understand what you’re saying. That does not help the people who already have all the additional training/ education they need whose job will still get offshored.
Not to mention the company doesn’t allow for any growth or actually pay for certifications, and not everyone in this org actually gets paid a decent wage to go back to school or have the time and resources to polish up their skill set on their own time. The company just needs to stop offshoring. No one wants a forgiven country to handle personal data, especially medical data.
