Thread regarding NetApp layoffs

What does it mean that “layoffs are not yet done”?

Rumors are flying, and people are making all kinds of claims. It’s hard to tell what’s real and what’s just noise. Given the trajectory, I wouldn’t be surprised if more cuts are coming, but it would help to know something, anything, so we could at least prepare. If leadership is planning more layoffs, the least they could do is give us a heads-up. Otherwise, we’ll just keep driving ourselves crazy speculating. Not that they care.

@bf 1 way of getting to 10B is to look at the yearly compensation of top execs. Shame on them!

2025 compensation (https://www.salary.com/research/executive-compensation/):

George Kurian: $23,127,224
Cesar Cernuda: $12,213,834
Mike Berry: total comp = $7,890,596
Harvinder S. Bhela = $8,828,349
Elizabeth M. O'Callahan = $5,407,550
Wissam Jabre = $18,260,121

NetApp revenue since George became CEO:
2015: $6.1B
2016: $5.5B
2017: $5.5B
2018: $5.9B
2019: $6.1B
2020: $5.4B
2021: $5.7B
2022: $6.3B
2023: $6.3B
2024: $6.3B
2025: $6.5B

I assume the sales organization will have some layoffs at the end of Q2 or in early Q3. Seems to be the normal process each year to prepare for the second half and eliminate lower performers that may or may not be on a plan.

They are not done. I was rif'd but a leader and I know what is still coming, I think in early H2. I warned my directs. Our group will eventually be 100% based in India. That's going to fun for customers ;)

They're definitely not done yet. More layoffs happened this week (I was rifted today) and word is there are more coming at the end of the quarter (end of October). Management is all over the place right now trying to find a way to get to 10B. I'd suggest to start looking around if you haven't already-better to be proactive while you're still employed!
