Some Pacific regions have a separate legal process which will result in 2-week delay for cutting Slack access. It's happening there right now.

@199 One thing we all know, O does not like transparency. So it wouldn't surprise me if the Aria and Slack numbers are being manipulated.

at the moment, they stopped disconnecting people immediately from the system (perhaps it was so ruthless just in NA, or they got spooked how easy it is to track it), so #general method is no longer up-to-date

@ew "177,930 - 168,872 = 9,058" - This show isn't over yet. Maybe they are done in the US, or maybe not.

Numbers as of this post.
Total # under Larry and Saffra per Aria. This # should include all that were notified and given an end date of Sep 22, Oct 3, etc. = 177,930
Total # in Slack #General, Should represent all active employees, ie this would not include those that have had access revoked. = 168,872

177,930 - 168,872 = 9,058

People that were let go yesterday are still getting their access disabled. A few I saw on Slack yesterday were let go but they weren’t disabled until this morning. So there should be a drop today due to that.

Interestingly the easiest way to find out if someone has been layed off is via slack as it shows the person/acct no longer active while in aria they still show up. Anyway, today’s count is 163713 as of Sept 4. Prayers to all those affected 🙏

169.219 number seems to be stabilising.

Dropped by 250 in IDC or Pacific timezones since then. So maybe first round in America done for few days. Fusion was supposed to be sla-ghtered, but so far is relatively lightly touched, so it's coming, I think.

@af No, it's not. Only USA cuts off system access same day. Source - chatting on slack with a guy laid off two weeks ago.

Don't forget that for outside the US, it may take several months for the layoffs to be finished.
