How many were let go?
From the looks of the posts on LinkedIn I have seen in the last 24 hours it would appear their was another purge.
May Day here
@10p we’ve heard this like once a month… any more info?
Major changes next week and layoffs comimg
Now that's a $1 question 🤔
Avaya is one of the luckiest companies in the world. Everything is marketing stunt, looking for buyers.
@ae I hope you’re not a parent.
@c9 You are correct; connecting 3rd Party Software isn’t a moonshot…. But it is a bridge. I assume the strategy is primarily to keep remaining customers from moving off their Avaya’s by demonstrating that they can be embellished with 3P AI. This keeps the maintenance and subscription revenue flowing, adds small incremental revenue from Infinity, and generates small revenue from partnership agreements with ISVs who can be brought in to accounts by Avaya. This monetizes the base and keeps Avaya treading water while continuing to look for a long term plan. That long term plan is difficult though… the CCaaS market is mature and competitive, Avaya is way behind there. Avaya isn’t going to compete for the AI, as that market rolls up, the hyperscalers will own it. The UC market isn’t viable.
Avaya’s long term plan will need to be either a reinvention or to become a provider of niche solutions. Blackberry and Vonage are still around in some iteration. If Avaya can stretch out the milking of the base, there remains a chance to find a lifeline
Its MCP. Firstly the basics need to be ready.
Can someone explain that last announcement on MCO. It sounds like an API for AI, but not AI. Is connecting third party software is a moonshot?

Just joking its a dead bloated corpse with a few employees hanging on hoping to get lucky enough to turn out the lights (me I am that guy)
