I mean who would put headquarter in a city named Waterloo. Words has meanings. Imagination grow wings. Thought grow legs. Waterloo is destined to Waterloo. Just saying.

I'm not certain there won't be layoff tomorrow.
No, wait, reverse that: I am certain there will be layoffs tomorrow.
@b5 feel like this is another bad Waterloo story (rim/blackberry) that won’t even get a movie
There are more lay offs. People that say there aren’t are wrong.
The only thing certain is the OTEX is circling the drain.
Headcount reductions, geographic cost optimizations, and divestments are the only tools they have to reduce costs.
Increased sales are unlikely, because products are deteriorating.
Because layoffs are more expensive than driving people to quit, OTEX strategy is to te--orize employees to make them quit.
There are two basic methods to this terrorism:
- ratings "calibration" where people are downgraded in reviews to meet quotas, and then PIPEDed, and then fired.
- general terrorism, like RTO enforcement, no pay increases, training your useless replacements, swipe monitoring, soul crushing processes, id--tic management, etc.
So, technically, there is no layoff when that occurs.
The reign of te---r to make people quit will continue until the singularity of the drain is reached.
Nothing is certain except taxes and death.
@ad And, in 2027, everyone gets a car! YOU get a car! YOU get a car! YOU get a car!
@OP no layoffs until next calendar year, rest of 2026 is safe
