Fiserv’s latest “innovation” is making everyone track their daily location for tax allocation. Because obviously what we all needed was another pointless workflow. Nothing like turning basic payroll into a DIY compliance project. If this is efficiency, I’d hate to see complexity.

NY is very aggressive in going after business travelers into their state and will Audit you!
@ad It will cost a lot of money with people's salaries to do that...
To be fair (and i am no fanboy), I've had to do that at a few companies and it has nothing to do with Fiserv. These are the rules of the IRS and State governments wanting their pound of flesh. They are trying to help you stay legal and not get a tax bill from states if you get audited.
They are making associates who travel fill out a form to specify where you travel. Basically, this will require associates to file in multiple states if you are in that state more than 14 working days.
What role are you in?
FiCheap is chasing every penny they can. Not heating/cooling the buildings to comfortable levels; shutting off servers at night even though India needs to use them; restricting cloud resources to unusable levels; non-functioning paper towel dispensers, etc.
I'm not familiar with this. Are they forcing you to log your location or are they doing a daily audit or something?
