Do these guys count as employees, and how many are on payroll (real question)?

This is corporate America. You only lookout for yourself. No company will lookout for you.
Perform or get laid off.

People are Ford don't play. They got mob ties. Back in the day, the union funding was for the mafia and sh-t through pension funds. Had some head honchos go missing because it didn't serve the relationships.

Pretty devastating. Can't really believe Ford's word. Remember back in the day they were the bread of butter of an American company? Word used to be bond. It's certainly sad to see that this "plant" (soylent green?) saga concluded with a "dry humor" twist of the darkest kind. After battling for months to unionize a plant that would "power the future", approximately 1,500 workers were notified of layoffs on December 15, 2025 [Previous Response]. Ford took sole ownership of the facility as it pivoted away from the very EV battery production that workers had spent the year fighting to secure. Sort of like a rug pull, where they reel you in and waste your time just to teach you a lesson to the less powerful to not test or fight for your human rights. I don't know why we keep rewarding Ford Motor Company, do we HATE our children? Maybe we should stop having kids, or is that already happening as a byproduct from what we're seeing in our current morale.

@a4 "Management reportedly tried to frame it as an emotional issue, asking, "Golly, don't you like the firefighters?" to guilt-trip union organizers. Gee where did we see this sort of lunatic manipulation before? Gee I wonder!!!! Familiar.

Workers also reported "unshakeable" mold contamination and blocked emergency exit doors, creating a set of working conditions that labor advocates described as more akin to a Victorian horror novel than a modern battery plant.

Throughout the campaign, workers highlighted severe safety issues, including chemical exposure, broken bones, and even a bat infestation at a training facility.

In May 2025, a group of Ford investors (Investor Advocates for Social Justice) sent a letter to the board demanding an end to union-busting activities and transparency regarding human rights concerns.

BUT WE ALL KNOW THE ESG REPORTS THEY PUSH TO SHAREHOLDERS IS HIGHLY QUESTIONABLE BASED ON THEIR BOOGEYMAN TACTICS ON THE DEFENSELESS INDIVIDUALS THEY EXPLOIT. Pure bullsh-t

There were allegations that Ford fired pro-union workers and dispatched supervisors to harass employees wearing UAW shirts and came out with their own "anti-union swag" to employees. They also reportedly spent significant funds on anti-union advertisements and hired high-priced ($$$$$) "union-avoidance" consultants (BCG brigade!?) to influence the workforce. From a salaried POV, I can tell you, whoever they employ in regards to psychological warfare, they use unethical covert tactics

@a3 Just before the election, the company allegedly "flooded the unit" by adding workers from its Emergency Response Unit (firefighters) to the voter list, employees who were not included in the original bargaining unit.

Supervisors allegedly threatened to shut down the Glendale facility entirely if the union vote succeeded.

Is that the plant with the toxic chemicals and the smear and disinformation campaigns they employed to prevent them from unionizing? The place where they funded people to manipulate and isolate the workers into not trusting each other for busting?
