How long would I have if I stopped coming into the office?

it is always harder to get fired then it is to get hired
If you're alive probably a while given that wr had the one incident where there was a deceased employee sitting at their desks with Noone paying attention for signs of life. Not even the so called keyboard tracking or mouse clicking reports found their level of inactivity

I know people who have refused to go to their 'assigned office' for well over a year with no punishment even though they keep getting told to go in, they are still employed today.
Enforcement seems to be random, there needs to be a massive lawsuit.
So you want to get fired with no severance? Brilliant move.
I bet they don't fire you and instead just try to beat you down. Either with no or low bonus, no merit increase, etc.
There's a reason why they haven't put any weight into this thing and leave it up to the manager. WFC has always had a problem outright firing people to a fault
I had an RTO issue due to a random onset health condition. Stuck it out until I couldn’t fully comply. Still did my work. Was encouraged to apply for accommodations. (Had mobility issues). I applied. They offered me…a foot stool. After I applied, a month later—I was displaced. 😅
What you do is not comply for a while, go through a couple stern chats, and then go in every week for a month, and then revert back to not going. By cycling back and forth you slow the process, and as an added bonus make a mockery of the whole Fing joke of a policy.
There’s a process for this. I fought against RTO hard, so I went through some of it. I can’t guarantee this is still how it’s being handled however.
Generally your manager will schedule a call to discuss your non-compliance. Your manager will discuss your situation and offer options such as applying for accommodation, etc. Then a second or third call to serve as an official verbal warning.
After that point you will have another call where your manager will go through a written warning with you. It will also impact your performance reviews.
I think it took 8 - 10 months to get to a written warning, but this could be different depending on your manager and LOB.
Depends...are you understaffed and can they hire someone to replace you? My group is part of WIM and can't find applicants in hiring locations with any experience and we have had to post and repost and repost again... still no one hired and they might bring in a warm body but there are only like 5 people who know what we are doing out of 20.....thus I think I might be able to go years....just so I do some of the work..
2-3 weeks
