I’m trying to keep up with what’s going on at COP. Has an EOI program been officially announced? If so, can you advise if everyone is eligible to submit an EOI?
Is the EOI part of a pending general layoff? That is, the company plans to lay off a lot of the workforce later in the year and employees might get selected because they submitted an EOI?

Its getting difficult to make long term planning or actions not knowing what things look like beyond Nov 1st. We tell each other we can only control how we perform, but man that is difficult to motivate yourself in this environment. does anyone have any strategies for this?
Tomorrow starts the process. We are all faced with a major decision. The company will add to the number of EOI’s submitted, rather accepted or rejected. Best wishes to my co-workers during this time of career uncertainty. We all now have a decision to make. Best wishes to all.
Still don't know why someone external wants details of our EOI. But safe to say we won't be hiring for a while.

Severed from where? BP?
I posted the original question. I’m not a reporter. I tried to get a job with COP but MRO messed it all up. I was just wondering what’s going on. Despite all the negative posts on this website, I would love to work for COP. Got severed and it’s hard to get back in to the E&P business.
@fb this is all addressed in the CBT assigned to everyone. Short answer is yes.
Will RSUs for this year be prorated?
Will we get a prorated VCIP in March next year?
@eb it's really not an insightful post but here you go https://www.linkedin.com/posts/candice-meade-5238a62_chevron-acquired-hess-and-is-laying-off-20-activity-7362224411778707458-I69A?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_android&rcm=ACoAABg35BMBy4Tto6LCQ9rpUP3KusJE5A79P3I
You can tell in some of the comments and her responses she doesn't know what she's talking about even with regards to Hess. Why she felt the need to post at all? You'd have to ask her. Seeking attention if you ask me. The WARN notice hasn't been issued. It feels like she heard a rumor and wanted to be the first to post about it. But comparing COP to Chrvron/Hess, stating COP is following the "same" plan, now that's a stretch.
@ad I’m interested to know more about the recruiter that posted stuff on LinkenIn. Any insights? Thank you
EOI was officially announced, many locations/departments were listed as excluded from opting into the EOI.
Layoffs are happening, most likely in November. Even if you do or don’t do an EOI you can be let go still.
hMRO employees can select for EOI and if selected will get the Marathon package.
After reading this, I'm convinced I work with bots.
If you work here, you already know the answer.

Employees who care probably shouldn't post details here. Employees all got the emails. Someone wanting to "keep up" asking for those kinds of details on here isn't a current employee, could be the media, etc. I get that some of you are disgruntled, but having to read unconfirmed details from the media makes it confusing and stressful for the ones still here. Like that recruiter who posted sh-t on LinkedIn. She doesn't know what she's talking about and just looking to bring attention to herself.
Ok, I said my peace.
@OP read your emails dude
