Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Unrealistic expectations

To the posts that are complaining about low pay, there aren't many customer service jobs or insurance non managerial jobs that pay over $25 an hour. You can say allstate is underpaid but it's in line with the market. Why would allstate pay $30 an hour when other insurers/call centers don't? Before you downvote think of it if you ran a business. Would you overpay your employees compared to competitors?

Progressive , USAA and Geico pay end of the year bonuses too. My coworkers that were layed off after 8-12 years with Allstate see their same positions in claims being posted for $42-45k .

If you’re licensed at progressive you’ll make $20-$22 plus bonuses.. and they pay for you to get licensed. I’d take that over less pto. Oh and a less toxic work environment and appreciation! 😊

You know what's unrealistic? Expecting your employees to work 70+ hours a week for $60K/year while maintaining perfect files all the time every time. And some people probably aren't even making $60K/year while working that much.

Idk, being in engineering, I'm getting paid around market rate plus band e, so I get a bonus... I guess it depends on where in the company you work.

Nice try, but I don’t know of many companies where your vacation days are part of your compensation. Yes, we pay for our own time off. You may have less PTO at other companies but at least you’re not paying out of pocket for it.

Over 7 years at Allstate as an adjuster and I left for a competitor and will make more money starting DAY ONE when you factor in the bonus program, benefits and starting salary. Allstate is a joke!!!

Not sure how long you have been working at Allstate which you didn't bother to mention but I'm going to guess it's 3 years and under. I've been with Allstate for almost 5 years. You are highly mistaken by your post OP and all it takes is googling to see starting salaries at competitors. I had a manager that quit Allstate and went to work for a competitor as a repped adjuster...he made more doing that than as a CSL with this company!!

Another one of Glenn's kneepad wearing home office shills I see....

I spent 9 years at Allstate before being laid off in October. 4 years spent on frontline. Laid off from a non-frontline role. Started in January with a competitor in a front line position at only about $2500 a year less than I was making in a non frontline role after 9 years. Found out that the same job I was doing when laid off would pay almost $12,000 more to start and I did that for over 4 years at Allstate BTE for 3 of those 4 years and never more than 3% raise.

Allstate grossly underpays all around for almost all positions (except for Tom and Glenn's positions) in the industry. This is a well and widely known fact. So don't try to tell us our business again troll.
