Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Add “Live your designation” to the list of stupidity

Speaking of perspective. Let’s all harken back to the corporate virtue signaling about our responsibility to reduce the carbon footprint individually and collectively. We were all gonna be as green as green could be. We were committed to the environment. It was our responsibility. So, what happened? RTO is the antithesis of our commitment to the environment. Typical corporate crock. Right up there with You Matter, Empower the Working Woman. Black Lives Matter. All Lives Matter. NOBODY MATTERS except a few select at the top. Let’s see the demographic pie chart that shows gender, race, etc. and progress made in those areas. HA! We won’t see it and it won’t be shown because RTO has obliterated any and all progress in that area also. Perspective.

Don’t forget Skills Pivot 2020. LOL.

How much time and resources were wasted on that nonsense?

@ag RTO is probably tied to interest rates on our debt.

"So you wanna restructure all of that debt, huh? Well we have a lot of underperforming commercial real estate holdings. Tell ya what, how about you have your employees come into the office and we'll keep your loan rates low. What ya say ol buddy ol pal?"

@ae so true! I know for a fact that local govt officials in Dallas “encouraged” T to have folks start coming downtown to help with the economy. There was discussion about how it affects local restaurants, etc.

“If we mattered, we would actually have a permanent desk to sit in daily as part of RTO vs. having to playing musical desks EVERY single day.”

T can no longer afford empty desks when employees take vacation.

Amen.
If we mattered, we would actually have a permanent desk to sit in daily as part of RTO vs. having to playing musical desks EVERY single day. Leadership does not care. They have a permanent desk with a door.

@ad because the govt said so and tied their lucrative contracts to corporate compliance. Same for DEI or any other 'soup of the day' campaign. Follow the money.

Threads with concerns for the environment as a defense for WFH are the most Id--tic posts on this forum.
