For years now, every layoff round has taken either a core role or someone who was holding the whole team together. And nothing ever gets backfilled. No follow-up, no acknowledgment of the gaps. It's like leadership wants teams to fall apart. I get that they're just lazy number-crunchers, but even then, this makes no sense.

@ac there are still shares that are priced, with quarterly earnings… may be private, but people still hold equity and that post still makes sense…

The company prints money....there are no critical roles
Unfortunately, no one cares unless it affects the stock price. If it gets so bad that earnings have to be restated, someone will take notice. Otherwise its not on the C suite's radar.
Define critical roles. Last I checked we were doing just fine without those folks.
