Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

Qualcomm Climate Survey Transparency

The climate survey should be handled by an independent third party, with results shared transparently with employees. Currently, employees are pushed to participate, and there is no clear breakdown of results or visibility into improvement actions. In all-hands meetings, the data is presented positively, which does not reflect the actual work environment.

If they require to log in to do a survey - it is never ever anonymous.

@e4+1kh802b24 I ask real hard hitting questions, they just get censored. There are many of us who don't care if we get fired or anything (I'll just go work at meta and make 2x more) so I always submit harsh questions -- they just never make it.

THis company needs employees to revolt and strike until the CEO and CFO are replaced. That's the only hope.

Nothing is anonymous. Our CEO doesn't have a the ability to answer hard questions. Showing the names of the employee is their way of filtering out real questions everyone is asking and shows the weakness of the CEO.

@cq That is valuable skill to navigate the corporate world but only for those ready to be sold and brought. But is bad for the business. Results we are all observing now.

I miss the old dilbert comics. There was a lot of gold on how to navigate corporate world for new peolple. The "anonymous survey" strip was a management trust 101 course.

@cf Thank you clarification. As I say both are claimed to be anonymous by the management. If what you say is true management is bluntly lying.

@bk Every Slido question has first and last name of person who asked it, visible to entire company. Didn’t used to be this way. Climate survey is anonymous to direct managers (although they can probably surmise who wrote what if their team is small enough), but the survey is not anonymous at the HR and higher up levels.

@ac Interestingly, they claim that both climate survey and Slido are anonymous. But during 1:1 manager asks the qustions relateted specifically to the answers given in response to the survey. AHM Slido questions are moderated so that any question they do not like are filtered out. This feedback system is basically a farce designed to; weed out the criticism, create an appearence of a respectable business while hiding the disgusting truth.

Will only work if they make it anonymous. What they also need to do is bring back anonymous Slido questions at the AH. He claims he likes spicy Slido questions. That will up the spice level.
