I survived. Most of my team made it. And here I am, still unable to relax and sleep. I think this messed me up more than I thought.

@an yeah dude, you sure got me. I know your still down in your moms basement. But that’s ok, better get up soon to head to your grocery bagger job.
Feeling the same but I was let go, try going into the weekend with that on your shoulders.
I was one of the many that were let go yesterday. I surprisingly slept like a baby last night. VZ isn't what it use to be and I don't really want to be part of any new restructuring. Also, there will be a 2nd round of layoffs next year. Folks who stayed can enjoy another year of stress, but I'm out.
Good luck everyone
@am it's actually YOUR mom's basement. And she was... decent. Not great, not terrible - I'd give her a 6 out of 10
@ae as soon as you get out of your moms basement.
Remember this feeling, and don’t do any extra for this company. Its a paycheck, nothing more
Agree
@ac you've never been loved a day in your life, have you?
@ae kindly go play in traffic - but make sure you're not wearing your "special" helmet when you do
@OP same here. TGIF— hopefully will get rest over the weekend. Very sad stressful day.
Some of yall really need to grow a spine and man up. It’s a job. Get some technical transferable skills and you’ll be fine.
Be prepared is all I can say for those who made it. Next wave in Feb or Mar of Q1. They will tighten the sc--ws even more.
It's a shame some soy was left behind.
2nd wave is march 2026
Same, by boss got let go and I’m devastated. I see their counterparts and not sure how they kept their jobs. Yes there was some algorithm used, but a lot was personal as well.
It never gets easier. You're not alone.
Same here. Thought I would crash last night and sleep for days. Lost half our team. This as easily the toughest 2 weeks of my 29 yr career
Same! Awake at 2am traumatized from being forced in office to witness friends and coworkers being cut.
