Humana is offering a voluntary early retirement program to eligible employees aged 50 or older with at least three years of service. The move is part of a broader effort to evaluate and adjust staffing needs and comes just before an expected 9 percent drop in Q2 earnings. Eligible employees who opt in will receive two weeks of pay per year of service, plus an additional amount based on job level, capped at 52 weeks. Some roles will be excluded from eligibility. This mirrors a similar program offered in 2017, which was followed by 1,300 layoffs. Humana is also undergoing real estate changes in Louisville, consolidating offices and investing over $21 million in renovations at its new downtown headquarters.
