Thread regarding HCSC (Health Care Service Corporation) layoffs

How does it even make sense to have the product managers, delivery leads and people managers in office when the teams are remote.
To folks who got remote and are being modest saying- ' We wish we at least had 2 days in office'. Stop doing that. Everyone knows people who got remote are lucky since they save on gas, time and life. On the other hand - People who are still forced to be in office have no relief whatsoever. How is it even fair?

@aj that’s Abilene 😂 it also lists Flik as the owner .. if you look at the CAD correctly .. it shows the office belongs to the economic development office 😂

They confirmed on a webinar this morning that Richardson is not closing.

@dv Nope. In IL only 5 offices will be left. I cannot say which 5.
Customer Service has 3 waves, that will last to end of Q3.
All other states, likely main HQ will remain.

As an employee I’ve heard that all but the Chicago offices are closing in waves with the last wave being in July

This is so inaccurate it’s funny. We are not closing or selling Richardson or any of the other HQs.

Actually, I don't think HCSC owns the building in Richardson. It was a 'build to suit' project, and they are leasing it from the owner. That being said, I think you need to put down bottle.

Offices that HCSC owns are not closing, only leased offices. As for roles, it depends on the role.

Are you sure? Hearing product managers are being told to continue to come to office, however their reports are going remote even for Richardson location.
