There is no reason to try harder. If you see your leadership coasting… coast harder.
If you see your leadership failing to make a decision… stall on decision making.
If you see your leadership throwing their peers under the bus… do the same with 10x effort.
If you see leadership leaving at 4:00… leave at 2:00.
Leadership sets the tone of an organization. And it has been made clear by Nike leadership:

The engineers complain of burnout but haven’t delivered anything of value in 6 months, take off all 20+ India holidays, take off all American holidays, and then there’s their vacation. Attendance is ~50% and when they are available they lack the actual talent to do their work. It’s worse peak tech bo-m American day in the life you used to see on TikTok. Permanent vacation.
itc is a disaster and nike is going all in on itc, layoffs for thousands of american workers....because EH is asleep at the wheel and gave power to leaders from you know where, and they started salivating with money and power and EH missed that part too....now they are executing at cutting all the american jobs they can and send to itc, where those jobs will go and fail
likely taking down nike to a $35 stock and down to 33B in revenue
had high hopes for EH but he's pretty bad if he can't figure tech and .com.... it's the future and it's going up in smoke....somehow he missed the memo that we're not in 1998 anymore
Stop hiring fvcking ITC. They don't work. They play and come online for 2 hours at night. Then they think they're god's gift because some Principal wants to give them a chance before being fired.

What is ironic, I think that is the winning formula at Nike. Getting less done and throwing people under the bus.
We still have a tech org who thinks we’re a tech company. Maybe if we need to keep our “core consumer” then continue making sub par product for cheap but there’s a massive market out there willing to pay more for quality.
Vuori, Lulu, athleta, alo, rhone, G/Fo-e, Travis Matthew, etc etc. Heck, even Melin made a quality hat and charge $60 with ease.
Our new golf line is embarassing. And now we will go watch our golfers look silly on TV. Has anyone done market research on what’s selling, what’s popular?! Nooo let’s make pleated baggy golf pants. That will save us.
