they can always start at any moment, but I wouldn't recommend relying on this board rumors (we got troll(s) here), not until it's actually ongoing, then will be reported here, and various tracking statistics will confirm with posts on other platforms.
for your own org you should see early signs like suddenly dropped workload, your management sudden apathy spike, movement of all-hands to later dates

Any prediction when layoffs may begin? I may have a career change lined up but would need to decide in the next month whether i resign or not
Start the process of looking at other jobs if you want to leave, but would also recommend holding out for your severance package if you do think you're going to get laid off.
all corporate America employments end with layoffs. nobody is chaining you here or anywhere, except your bills.
