As a union worker, the union provides dental and vision coverage. when you retire do you still have dental and vision coverage? TIA for info.

Depends upon your NCS date
Hired before August 3, 2008 yes medical and dental. No vision.
Hired post 8/3/2008 you get $s for each year of service towards an HRA. You purchase coverage in the market place.
Next contract the amount per year will increase and the years shorten. So likely no difference (or minor) in total HRA.
There is no subsidization. It’s negotiated. IRS and ERISA rules apply.
I suppose if you qualify “subsidized” as money not given to non-union and agreed to by VZ and the unions in a contract. Sure. It’s subsidized.
union doesn't provide..
@aa you say "subsidized by you" but when you're retired you are not paying union dues anymore. Do you mean subsidized by current union employees?
@ab ha ha that is the absolutely perfect answer for all of us so funny but so true also so sad
By the time you are able to retire you won't have any tooth left
@OP not stupid at all. Thats the most important question.
Management No
Union Yes (subsidized by you)
