Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

No Sunday Scaries

Getting laid off feels lousy. But on the upside, I don’t have to dread work tomorrow. Usually on Sunday evenings, I feel a spike of cortisol in anticipation of the coming work week. I’m checking my work calendar to see what meetings I have, making my task list, deciding if I need to commute into the office, etc.

Tomorrow I will sleep late and there’s no need to check the calendar. Like many of you, I have to pound the pavement and look for a new job. There’s work to do in updating my resume and searching the job boards, but I’m also going to make it a point to relax a bit and enjoy the down time. I hope you’re able to do the same.

Enjoy your nice warm bed sleeping late tomorrow and the next day and the next day and the next day and the next day and the ...
And enjoy not seeing the direct deposit pay into your bank account again and again and again and again and ...
And wait till you feel the spike of cortisol, not only on Sunday evening any longer, but every minute of every day until you find your next job.
But I'm glad you're feeling a bit relaxed tonight. LOL LOL LOL ...

Wow. Awful comments. OP. I was RIF'd last year. I watch this thread because it's amazing to watch the downfall of Verizon. Yes, enjoy...no alarm clock Monday morning!! It has taken me a year to re-acclimate to normal after two decades with the Deathstar. VZ destroyed my mental health.

@OP Work su-ks, that's why it's called work. Everyone feels this way on Sunday about their upcoming work week. Dealing with crazy people, stressful timelines and overall unpredictability of management knee je-k decisions and directions, it's all just very stressful.

Family first - enjoy your downtime and get some rest.

You're a worthless troll. All of your posts have the same exact writing style.

Stirring up people going through job transitions with repeated inflammatory posts is a reflection of bad character!
