So Sr Directors were notified today and ADs and below will be notified Thursday. Does that mean Directors are notified tomorrow or Wednesday? Or maybe Directors Tuesday and ADs Wednesday?

@d7 For the retail team, VPs and MPs knew 2 weeks ago but they had to sign a NDA before any info was shared with them. Which is why we are not seeing as much concrete info as we have in the past.
Wrecking the company so elon musk can can takeover
I’ve been through this multiple times as a manager at Verizon, and whether a manager knows who is impacted on their team or doesn’t truly depends on how much info their own leadership wants to share. This time, our leadership shared info to small groups as reassurance that they weren’t going to be immediately impacted (unless leadership asked for more names). Our VP knew weeks ago who would be RIFed as long as there wasn’t a push for more names from higher above and gave some general info about which groups under them would be impacted. This info trickled down to those of us who were being “reassured,” but I have no idea what the other groups under our VP were told.
SDs submitted their list on 10/30. High performers and low performers. No one will know who is impacted until Thursday. End of story. SDs don’t know. ADs don’t know. No one knows until Thursday.
@ct what group are you in?
I’m an AD and this is how it’s working for my org: I submitted rankings for my team. Yesterday my Senior Director shared how many headcount I lost, though I don’t yet have the final list of names (though I can guess). I’ll be taking a training later today or Wednesday for how to handle the sharing the news with my employees who were affected. I’ll be having calls with my team Thursday to notify them.
In the retail space. Sr Directors were notified today if they made it or if they are being impacted. They won't know who on their teams are impacted until tomorrow and they'll notify their Directors on Wednesday who will notify on Thursday.
@aa if anyone going from your team on Thursday , you get training on Wednesday. If you get to know to Thursday, you maybe one of the unlucky ones.
@ac I promise you it isn't made up. Maybe it's that I am going too, but I swear I don't have the final list.
@a3 completely untrue. I’m an AD and have received ZERO information. I asked if I’d find out before people on my team in the even they’re impacted and was told by my SD that they don't know yet. This is the worst VZ has ever handled a RIF.
@aa They already know dude.
@aa This sounds made up 😂
Does it really matter? The end result will be the same. Unemployed.
@a3 I an AD do not know exactly who is going on my team. I know I submitted a performance ranking to my SD but I am only 50% sure about their final decisions. I find out Thursday. I hope those that remain understand, we ADs had almost no say in this.
I feel bad for the ADs that are notified that they were impacted and still have to tell others that they were also impacted. Most of us are worried about getting that call, but imagine getting it, and also having ro make it.
Each org handles it differently, some flow down for AD/sr Mgr to handle, others the VP is handling notifications. That's why there are discrepancies seen here.
I heard it was going to be Saturday.
Most of the stuff on this board is garbage, both the SDs and ADs know whos going already, and have known for weeks.
And if the AD or Director is impacted themselves, they will find out Thursday like everyone else.
ADs and Directors are both Band 6 and will be notified on Wednesday if they need to deliver severance packages on Thursday.
