Humana's 2026 Medicare Star rating is very poor

Humana's stock is down sharply, while its peers are all up a lot.

@aa It's beginning to sound a lot like 1996. History is repeating itself. Humana survived then, it will survive now.

Actually, as the other poster suggested, it may very well be that the current CE* is doing exactly what he was hired in to do.

If you google his name, you will find the last two companies he was with went bankrupt.

And if you consider that by allowing stocks to tank, you reduce amount owed on the books. And if the company does move most of it workforce duties oversees and/or by using contractors, the company largely reduces/mitigates any potential employment lawsuits.

Then, when everything is in place, file for bankruptcy for whatever remaining small amount is still owed.

This of course is all speculation.

Medicare business is getting worse every year. We need new leadership. Fire Renaudin and bring in fresh thinking.

Not surprised when you do nothing but government insurance. Big mistake getting out of group insurance it that may be the master plan, tank stock so it is easier to be sold or split up and sold. This goes back many years, not just the new C suite.

This is terrible for Humana stock, dropped 12% today!!! I used to be heavily invested in Humana through 401K, made a lot of money too in earlier years. Cleared off all investment in Humana two years ago. Been losing money in recent years. Why wouldn't investor move away? This will take a very long time for Humana to regain confidence. I'm taking ERP. Getting out of here.

Yeah, if I was a banker on the earning’s calls, I would have lost staying power confidence in Humana, similarly to how the consumers have lost confidence in Humana’s MA products.

Besides, what good is insurance if when you have a catastrophic medical event, you cannot rely on your insurance company to approve your claim.

Also, I think if customers knew that Humana was working on replacing a high percentage of their workforce between AI & H-1B visa holders, they would find that unAmerican and unpatriotic, to say the least.

I also do not believe this is what founder David A. Jones Sr. had in mind. If you read his biography, he was all for creating jobs for the American working class. He cared for people.

I believe Humana has forfeited its privilege to continue being a public traded company that offers MA products and services on behalf of CMS funded by tax payers.
