Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Good Luck to You All

After my manager finished reading the HR script, he said to me, “Good luck", and I replied, “Good luck to you too". I truly meant it. I know many of you, like me, have wanted to leave this toxic place but haven’t, for various reasons. I sincerely wish the very best for all of you who are still at Cisco.

My manager asked me how are you before reading the script. Sent invite 2 weeks before delivering the message. Not sure what his original intent was . Wish he put in a minor percentage of enthusiasm in learning how to do the job instead of playing politics 100 percent of the time with zero productivity and innovation .

your manager stays behind bravely, accepting subpar compensation and career rot

there are only three viable career paths:

  1. FAANG
  2. startup lottery
  3. learn to weld

@aa don't worry he will call you after 1 year to find out what/how you are doing and send his managers/directors to your new place and layoff you again...
