Thread regarding Open Text Corp. layoffs

Is OpenText preparing to be bought?

Rumours abound that Mark’s layoff was a surprise to him and that the board offered him a graceful way out but that he didnt accept it.

We heard M&A during the earnings call.

This the firing of Mark be a prelude to OpenText being acquired?
If so, who?

The company is absolutely for sale. The board has been working with a financial company for a year behind the scenes to prepare any and all parts or the whole for sale. Mark had FY25 to stop the bleed but also, simultaneously, start positioning business units to be lean and attractive to buyers .

Today's call was clear as stated by the board member that they have been working with FIN analysts and will continue to do so.

The fact is that a significant amount of preparation for sale has been in play for many months and we can expect and should be ready for a series if announcements when the new CEO comes on board before the start of Q2 in 6 weeks.

You are stupid and don’t even understand an acquisition. If OT was to be bought expect the share price to rocket. Just like the Microfocus share price did. It’s a public company
